About megan
Megan Betry grew up in the small-town of Porterville, California, at the base of the Sequoia Mountains. Graduating from UCLA in 2009, with a Bachelors of Arts in American Literature and Culture, Megan returned to Porterville and earned a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential in 2010. She then returned to the Southern California area where she pursued a Masters Degree in English Literature, which she received in 2013.
Megan's teaching experience includes a three month tenure as a Reading Intervention Specialist at Westwood Elementary School for grades 2-5. For the past three years, Megan has worked at Options For Youth-Northridge, where she currently serves as the Subject Area teacher for Algebra 2 and the social sciences.
A lover of backpacking, math, and literature, Megan's goals include hiking the John Muir Trail, earning a Single Subject credential in mathematics, and reading every novel written by Margaret Atwood.
